DrayEasy
Outcomes
Background
Finding reliable truckers with good rates for "last mile" container movement is a major pain point for freight forwarders (FFs). DrayEasy solves this by:
-Maintaining a large trucker database across North America's 100+ intermodal regions.
-Streamlining quote requests and truck dispatch.
-Offering an industry-first rate engine for instant quotes on over 95% of lanes.
Goal
Help cargo owner find their desired drayage carrier, make drayage easier.

Impact 🎉
After implementing the new DrayEasy platform, we observed a significant improvement in user satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key metrics include:
Reflection
- Balancing Complexity & Clarity: I realized that while users need detailed information (especially for LTL), presenting too much at once causes cognitive overload. In future iterations, I would prioritize progressive disclosure and contextual display.
- Improving Flow Efficiency: The booking process showed how fragmented steps slow users down. I learned the importance of breaking down tasks into digestible micro-flows and reducing unnecessary decision points.
- Designing for Error Prevention: Many users struggled with input accuracy. This highlighted the value of proactive design — using auto-fill, validation, and guided prompts to support users before mistakes happen.
